Intel, the portland based microprocessor vendor, is also a large enterprise IT user. They have large number of employees spread all over the world and they have various divisions including manufacturing. We thought it will be a good idea to talk to them and find out how they are leveraging cloud computing. As a part of Rishidot Research’s Open Conversations, myself and Alex Williams (Techcrunch) spoke to Das Kamhout, Principal Architect at Intel IT. He gave a tour of Intel IT and how they are approaching cloud computing by taking advantage of open source projects like OpenStack and CloudFoundry. It is a hour long discussion but if you can manage one hour, it is worth spending time on. This discussion will be especially handy for enterprises planning their cloud strategy.
